Learning community

inclusionED has been designed for teachers, using the input of teachers. Led by a team of researchers and designers from Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and supported by Autism CRC, teachers from rural, regional, and metropolitan Australia have contributed to the design and development of inclusionED.

In addition to teachers, students on the autism spectrum and their families have also contributed to the design and priorities of inclusionED.

Critical to the success of inclusionED is the development of the learning community. Teachers were clear that to maximise the effectiveness of turning new knowledge into new practice in their classrooms, they need a supportive learning community and support to implement strategies.

The inclusionED platform facilitates a national community of practice, enabling social sharing, comments and reviews of the experience implementing specific practices.

We invite every Australian teacher to join us in using evidence-informed practices that embody inclusive education.
